The Reach is praised for its snappy turns, wide wind range, and smooth power delivery, making it suitable for a variety of conditions and riding styles. It has close to perfect, light touch steering and easy handling which give it significant advantages, enabling it to stand out in any kiting discipline. The kite’s excellent water relaunch capabilities, attributed to its lightweight frame and innovative design, ensure that riders can get back to action quickly. The modifications to the pulley free bridles, panel segments, and leading edge shape in 2024 contribute to the Reach’s leading position in this category, providing a combination of lofty jumps, quick pivotal turns, and exceptional balance and drift capability. The Reach also has great low end power and lightweight three strut frame that floats nicely for waves and foil riding sessions. It’s also one of easiest kite to boost big air with and offers great lift and hangtime. As this ultimate “desert island kite” continues to impress and lead the way in the do-it-all category of kites. With well rounded performance, ease of use and amazing water relaunch capatility, the Reach a top choice for the multi disciplined riders that don’t want to compromise performance whether the session is on a twin tip, a surfboard or a foil.

Drawbacks

While the North Reach is designed to be an all-around kite, its versatility may mean that it doesn’t cater as specifically to riders looking for a kite tailored exclusively to a single discipline, such as hardcore freestyle or wave-specific kites. However, this is more of a niche concern, as the Reach is designed to perform well across a broad spectrum of conditions and styles.

Users

The North Reach is perfect for kiteboarders of all skill levels looking for high-performing, versatile kite. Its ease of use and broad range of capabilities make it an ideal choice for beginners and intermediates looking to progress. At the same time, its high-end performance features ensure that advanced riders will also find the kite engaging and challenging. Whether you’re looking to boost big air, carve waves, or glide over the water on a foil, the Reach is designed to support and enhance your kiteboarding experience.
