In this video, we’re joined by Sky Solbach to discuss the growing focus on environmental consciousness in the industry, highlighting Duotone’s 2025 surfboard lineup. These boards are designed with sustainability in mind, featuring the new Concept Blue SLS construction, made using eco-friendly materials like recycled EPS cores and bio-based resins. Manufactured in Italy, the boards incorporate natural materials like Basalt fiber and locally sourced cork, minimizing their environmental impact.
Sky introduces two key constructions for 2025. The updated Concept Blue SLS boards are lighter and more flexible compared to the 2024 models, while the brand-new D-LAB boards are the lightest and most high-performance boards Duotone has ever created. The D-LAB construction features carbon with reflex memory foam inlay, offering consistent weight and enhanced dampening.
The 2025 lineup has been simplified to three core surfboards, each available in both Concept Blue and D-LAB constructions. The Whip, with its redesigned shape, is built for speed and agility in small waves. The Blur combines two previous models into a versatile all-rounder, perfect for all conditions. The Vault, with its short and wide design, excels in generating speed in smaller, mushier waves.
For strapless freestyle, the Provoke is a standout option, featuring a solid PVC core, carbon wrap, and aggressive bottom channel for maximum grip and pop.
With these updates, Duotone continues to push the boundaries of performance and sustainability in surfboard design.
