IKA confirms two pro kiteboarding events in Morocco for 2016.

The Interntional Kiteboarding Association is pleased to confirm two new events in Morocco commencing later this year.
Knowing how difficult it is to find events in proper wave conditions, we are more than happy to confirm Essaouira as location for the first wave world cup of the year. Essaouira has played host to several successful events in the past and now rejoins the 2016 IKA Kiteboarding World Championships.
The event is planned to be held 1st to 6th July, and more details will be published as soon as possible.
In the second half of the year, Dakhla will then showcase the world’s best foilracers in the GoldCup. Just before the final in Qatar from 14 to 19 November, the Dakhla event will prepare the fleet in a final test.
Both events are organized by the Association Marocaine de kite surf (AMKS) with the support of the Moroccan sailing federation (FRMV).
The updated Notice of Race will be published shortly.
