Nuno “Stru” Figueiredo dropped into a wave of 62ft 4″ / 19 meters, at Nazaré November 8th 2017.
This record was ratified by the International Federation of Kitesports Organisations (IFKO).
The day that Rodrigo Koxa set a Guinness World Record, he rode the biggest wave ever surfed at 24.38 meters (80 feet) at Nazare. As the day progressed, the wind came up, and kitesurfer Nuno Figueiredo also achieved a Guinness World Record, kiting a 19 meters (62 foot) wave!
