11th annual Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational returns to REAL June 4-10 2016

The world’s most progressive kiteboarding competition returns to REAL Watersports in Cape Hatteras, NC, June 4th – 10th. Continuing on the success of last year’s 100% park format, the 2016 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational will see the world’s top professional kiteboarders battle for victory in the state-of-the-art REAL Slider Park. Every year during this event, competitors redefine what is possible for riding a kiteboard on sliders and kickers. 2016 will once again push competitors to the limit with bigger tricks and bigger crashes as they battle for $50,000 in prize money and the glory of being crowned the 2016 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational Champion.

Recognized as the number #1 professional kiteboarding event in the world, the Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational carries an 11-year legacy of bringing together an international field of the most progressive riders to perform in the REAL Slider Park. The 2016 competitor’s roster includes 32 riders from 13 countries, with Men’s and Women’s divisions.

For 2016, event organizers have introduced a new entry process to drive progression and create the best possible experience for both riders and spectators. The following entry process will result in a competition field of 24 Men and 8 Women at the 2016 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational:

The top 16 Men and 4 Women from the previous year’s Triple-S will automatically re-qualify for the event.

4 Invites for Men and 2 Invites for Women will fill the next spots in the event.
An additional 4 Alternate spots for Men and 2 Alternate spots for Women will be chosen. These alternate spots are chosen in order and will fill injury / non-attendance openings above them. Alternates are not guaranteed entry into the event and should plan on submitting Wildcard Videos and/or attending the Wind Voyager Triple-S Open to compete for the remaining 6 spots in the event.

To fill the remaining 6 spots in the event, athletes from all over the globe will have two additional chances to qualify for a coveted spot in the 2016 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational:

1. Submit a Wind Voyager Triple-S Wildcard Video by April 18th, 2016 (3 winners will receive an invite)
or
2. Compete in the Wind Voyager Triple-S Open on June 3rd and 4th (3 winners will receive an invite)
